My name is Carl. P. Padula and I am the Democratic Party Leader for the Borough of Pompton Lakes. I am also a former Councilman who served the Borough for six years with a record that I am proud of.
This year I decided to seek the office of Council once again and am pleased to announce my candidacy along with my running mate, Robert S. Morse. Bob has been trying to present alternate views to the Borough Council on his own and is now willing to join the Democratic ranks and become a candidate for Council.
Bob and his wife Patrice have four young children and have been residents of the Borough since 1991. He is active in St. Mary’s Church where he is a member of the men’s choir and in his children’s sports programs where he has coached. Bob also belongs to the Elks Lodge #1895 and the Knights of Columbus #3801.
Bob is owner of Financial Planning Associates, LLC, headquartered in the Borough of Pompton Lakes with two other regional offices serving Bergen and Morris Counties.
For those of you who do not know me, I am Director of Operations for the Passaic County Community College Public Safety Academy. I have been employed by Passaic County Community College since I retired from the Paterson Police Department sixteen years ago. My wife Barbara and I have lived in the Borough for thirty years and have two sons, Carl and Randy, both of whom are police officers. We also have three grandchildren, Dominick, 13, Rachael, 10 and Michael 8, who attend Borough schools and participate in many sport programs. I am a member of the Borough’s Environmental Committee and St. Mary’s Church as well as the Elks Lodge #1895.
